(8 months, South Dakota) This 7000-acre ranch in north-central South Dakota offers the opportunity to work with a herd of 400 beef cattle, raise crops of: corn, spring wheat, oats, alfalfa, sunflowers, barley, and soybeans, and participate in a custom harvest operation of about 30,000 acres of wheat, oats, barley, flax, canola, corn, sunflowers and soybeans. Beef management includes feeding and care of cattle, calving, pasture management, marketing, and record-keeping. Crop production includes seeding, weeding, fertilizing, soil testing, etc. Machinery to be operated includes combines, John Deere tractors, balers, sprayers, air seeders, and more. Thorough training in machinery operation is provided. Housing and wage provided.
