The IEPUK Tier 5 Government Authorised Exchange (GAE) programme is specifically designed for those applying from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) wishing to make a career in the food and farming industry and its associated areas of research and development.

The Tier 5 programme is designed to provide individuals with a structured training programme leading to career progression. Participants will be paid at least national minimum wage.
You will need to meet certain programme requirements and have a confirmed placement prior to applying for entry clearance. We accept applications throughout the year and placements are normally up to 12 months but programme lengths can vary up to a maximum of 24 months.

To ensure that you gain endorsed skills progression during your internship/work experience, IEPUK use IntSCA, the International Skills Competence Award. The online system will help you and your employer to create a personal development plan to meet your placement objectives, identify training needs, set targets, providing you with an endorsed CV/Resume and, if the placement is forming part of your University course, may be able to link to your university syllabus.
